NON-EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTION LICENSE

By signing and submitting this license, I (the author/s or copyright owner) grant to The University of Western Ontario (the “University”) a non-exclusive, perpetual, and royalty-free right for the full term of copyright protection to use, archive, reproduce, convert (as defined below), sublicence and/or distribute my thesis (including the abstract) worldwide in print and electronic format and in any medium, including but not limited to audio or video. Further, I authorize third parties to perform any of the University’s rights described herein on the University’s behalf.

I authorize the University to sub-license and submit my thesis to the Library and Archives Canada on a non-exclusive basis and for the full term of copyright protection to preserve, perform, produce, reproduce, translate my thesis in any format and to make it available in print or online by telecommunication to the public for research and private study. Any any abstract submitted with my thesis will be considered to form part of my thesis.

I agree that the University may, without changing the content, convert my thesis and abstract to any medium or format for the purpose of accessibility for persons with disabilities.

I also agree that the University may keep more than one copy of my thesis and abstract for purposes of security, back-up and preservation.

I represent that my thesis and abstract are my original work, and that I have the right to grant the rights contained in this license. I also represent that my submission does not, to the best of my knowledge, infringe upon anyone's copyright or privacy rights or other rights.

If my thesis contains material for which I do not hold copyright, I represent that I have obtained the unrestricted permission of the copyright owner to grant the University the rights required by this license, and that such third-party owned material is clearly identified and acknowledged within the text or content of the submission.

If this submission is based upon work that has been sponsored or supported by an agency or organization other than The University of Western Ontario, I represent that I have fulfilled any right of review or obligations required by such contract or agreement. 

I retain copyright ownership and moral rights to my thesis, and may deal with the copyright in my thesis, in any way consistent with rights granted by me to my University in this non-exclusive license. I understand that The University of Western Ontario will clearly identify my name as the author of this submission, and will not make any alteration, other than as allowed by this license, to my submission.

I promise to inform any person to whom I may hereafter assign or licence my copyright in my thesis and abstract of the rights granted by me to the University in this non-exclusive licence.

Authenticity Statement

The thesis is the approved and final version, in whole and without alteration, submitted to the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies of the University as a requirement of the degree program in which the author is registered.
